Makemkv remux8/14/2023 I dont use DVDFab so, I can't comment on it but I think that's nice of him to offer his code to them. I'm more interested in a simple software thats more anydvd friendly and, would gladly pay for it. I think AnyDVD-HD would do just fine without the help of internal copy protection. I cant think of any technical reasons why there can't be an option to disable internal BD/BD+ removal. Plus, there wouldnt be any conflicts in the first place if there was an option to disable internal copy protection. I dont think there's any other way to interpret that he has mentioned that more than once not just in the popup message we have to click okay to every time. I still dont understand the thing about "superior protection" that AnyDVD can't handle. I dont think that AnyDVD would have any qualms about MakeMKV taking advantage of an AnyDVD enabled drive. The only time I disable anyDVD is to upgrade it.Ībdbear, I hope you dont take this the wrong way because you seem very knowledgeable and a nice guy but if what you said is true, that would make things look even worse unless his plans are to make MakeMKV completely free. Although, method seems to work okay and pretty reliable I just can't stand the idea of having to disable AnyDVD. I wouldnt have been able to do it without the AnyTool.exe command-line tool. In the meantime I made tiny batch file (compiled to an exe) that invisibly disables AnyDVD, waits for MakeMKV to do it's job, when MakeMKV is closed, AnyDVD get's re-enabled. I'm hoping there's a very simple, lightweight Bluray ->MKV app that doesn't have copy protection removal builtin nor transcoding capabilities just remuxing to MKV with good subtitles/audio file support. I would much rather pay for a Bluray->MKV app that has a developer who listens to what people want to see unless they want to just give it away for free. This has been suggested several times on the MakeMKV forum. To me, it seems a little bit extreme to have to click "Yes" to the below message every time to be sure you're reminded of that or not consider the possibility to use AnyDVD for copy protection removal since afterall, it's pretty much a standard on HTPCs. I guess he thinks that "the most sophisticated protections" should be left up to makemkv, not AnyDVD. Unfortunately, it looks like the guy who made MakeMKV doesnt seem to like AnyDVD-HD a whole lot. Hit the tab "source", select the files that you're gonna to remux its format and have "browser" clicked.I would love to use MakeMKV for simple BD->MKV conversion and is pretty good at it. In addition, the slider on the right of "×264 Present" can determine the speed of the decoding process.( From left to right, it would be slower to have it finished and the file we get would be smaller) Also, adjust the seekbar (From left to right, the quality will be increased). Download and install Handbrake into your device.īetween "Constant Quality" and "Average Bitrate(kpbs)", you need to select "Constant Quality". It's a ripping tool, meanwhile creates MP4 files with excellent video and audio quality. The second software we recommended here is what's called Handbrake. Method 3: Handbrake, an amazing tool to remux MKV to MP4 mp4 format, andgoes as fast as just copying the file would go. In both cases use this: ffmpeg -i /path/to/video.mkv -c:v copy -c:a copy /path/to/save/video.mp4 That will create a copy of your video in. Mine is named keys.txt and I made it with notepad. In that newly established data directory folder, create a (plain) text file and paste those codes and all their info into the text file. On windows, use the included batch file to open the ffmpeg prompt, on Linux just use the terminal. To manually add hashed keys keys to makemkv, you open Makemkv, go to view->preferences, then, ->general and establish a folder for the 'makemkv data directory'. If you want to convert many video files, add those files before you click "Encode". finally, "Add Job" clicked and it's almost done. Next, select "Save to Folder"- "Browser"(here, you need to choose the files that you want to deal with). Then make sure that the "Video Size" compatible with your screen value. Check the settings and add files neededĬlick the tabs on the second column to check several things, adapt those items for your loaded videos.
